  • Spain/US. Title: "The Mask of the Red Death" series 73/80 signed by the artist. Federico Castellon, born in Spain in 1914- US citizen since 1943. He has taught at Columbia University, Pratt Institute, and the New School. He was awarded 2 Guggenheim Fellowships, a fellowship to the Spanish Republic, 1934, 36, a grant from the American Academy of Design. His work is represented in collections of the Whitney Museum, the metropolitan Museum of Art, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum, the Art Institute of Chicago, Library of Congress, and others.
