- A view from below of nine connected spheres that are lighted and hang from the ceiling. The linear, crisscrossed infrastructure that defines the spheres is visible through the translucent, neutral material that covers them.
- The Oregon Arts Commission has ten Regional Arts Councils that provide delivery of art services and information. The Council for this location is: Eastern Oregon Regional Arts.
- Thomas Sayre has designed and built public art projects all over the world and has been part of the design team for civic, educational, and museum buildings. He, along with architect Steve Schuster, is a founding principal of the multi-disciplinary design firm, Clearscapes, and has collaborated to produce lighting, furniture, terrazzo floors, and specialty surfaces. Growing up in the shadow of Washington National Cathedral, Thomas' early art education, and his love and respect of natural materials, came from the stonecutters and the Cathedral. His education continued at St. Albans School, University of North Carolina, University of Michigan, and Cranbrook Academy of Art.

- "Almost Freezing" is composed of nine spheres which are bolted together to form a which, in turn, powers six halogen incandescent spot bulbs. Extra bulbs and packaging were provided at time of installation (Sayre, 2003). hanging assembly of approximately 18 x 4 x 5 feet. Each sphere is made from a series of. 25 inches mild steel hoops welded into the form of a sphere. This sphere was then "wrapped" in a polyester sheer fabric followed by the application of catalyzed polyester resin and 2 inches chopped strange fiberglass via chopper gun. The entire assembly is hung from a rated stainless cable and swivel with 110 volt power fed from above to an internal, shielded conduit which feeds one electrical box in each of the three large spheres; which, in turn, powers six halogen incandescent spot bulbs. Extra bulbs and packaging were provided at time of installation (Sayre, 2003).
