  • Pyrus betulaefolia: Very large tree of this species photographed near Kingmen, Hupeh Province, China. This tree was sixty feet high, and was the largest one of this species observed by F.C. Reimer in 1917. It is a very vigorous, hardy species, adapted to a great variety of soils. Unfortunately it is very susceptible to Pear Blight.
