  • Ping li: This is a very promising variety, as it is a pure type of Pyrus ussuriensis. The fruit is small, yellowish with red blush and shiny skin. The flesh is soft, free from grit cells, and has a very agreeable tart flavor. It should prove valuable in breeding work. Photographed at Lishan Manchuria, Sept. 1917.
