- Description
- A Native American man, identified as Parson Motanic of the Cayuse Tribe, stands in an outdoor setting holding a bustle in his right hand. The headdress is ornamented with feathers and fur. The man is dressed slick style (bare chested) and wears a choker, necklace, bandoleer, belt, and leggings.
- Tribal Notes
- An outside photograph of a man dressed in his regalia. He has been identified as Parson Motanic. He is wearing a porcupine roach, loop necklace with a Hairbone bandoleer, which is not worn right, as it should be worn to the side, not to the front. There is also a choker and beaded leather belt with beaded side drops. In his right hand he is holding up a bustle. This looks like it's on a stick; wrapped around the bustle is a fur bandoleer and a beaded pipe bag. In his left hand he might be holding a dance stick. In the background is brush as tall as he is. Writing on the photograph is "Parson Motanic Maj. Moorhouse"
