Map of Oregon Territory, 1848


Description
  • This is a map of the vast area that became the Territory of Oregon in 1848. The Willamette, being the most thickly settled region became the seat of government and the capital was established at Oregon City. Out of this territory have come the states of Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and parts of Montana and Wyoming.
