| Notes | In 1991, the University hospital was undergoing an expansion of its C-Wing; simultaneously three new neighborhood health clinics were nearing completion in Portland. Public art purchases for these projects were made possible by Oregon's Percent for Art program.
In 1996, "University Hospital" was renamed Oregon Health Sciences University Hospital.

| Artist Statement | The two emotions in life which interest me the most are the intimate and the heroic and I seek to combine these in my work. I feel that women have a special attachment to nature in their ability to echo creativity. This is not just a physical thing but spiritual kinship to the creative force. (Ross-Paul, 1991) |

| Image Processing History | Master tiff image captured at 4000 pixels across the long edge using SilverFast AI 6.0 software. Digital images in tiff format are archived and saved. Adobe Photoshop CS2 used to reorient and crop image, set and neutralize shadow and highlight points, adjust levels, contrast and sharpen as needed. Second production tiff saved. Color profile converted from Adobe RGB (1998) to sRGB IEC61966-2.1, resolution revised to 125 pixels, resize longer dimension to 875 pixels; save display jpeg at quality level 6. |
