NotesIn the Capital Journal (Salem, Ore.), May 11, 1894: "Architect Knighton returned this morning from Roseburg, where he witnessed the dedication of the soldiers' home, for which he drew the plans." In the Sunday Oregonian, December 10, 1893, p. 4, the article The Soldiers' Home, Plans of the Building to Be Erected at Roseburg, describes the building.
