On his right arm is an armband. He is wearing a bandoleer across his chest and under his right arm is a beaded pouch or bag. In his left hand he is holding an eagle tail fan. In his right hand he is holding a rifle. He is wearing leggings with a geometrical design that matches his moccasins. There is a banded hat with feather plume on the blanket in the lower right corner. Visible in the background are a tipi, a number of deciduous trees, some pine trees, and a hillside. |
| TCI Notes | An outside photograph of a man identified as Julius Williams dressed up in his regalia next to some brush with some hides hanging on the brush. He is wearing a shirt with a loop necklace and a bandoleer. He is wearing cloth leggings and on his right hip is a beaded pouch. In his right hand he is holding the barrel of a rifle. In his left hand he is holding an eagle tail fan. He standing on a Pendleton Blanket and to the right of him is another folded Pendleton Blanket. On the right side of the photograph is a hat sitting on the blanket that he is standing on. The hides that are hanging just behind him in the brush are a leopard hide and a deer hide. In the background on the left side of the photograph is a tipi that is made of canvas. Just behind the tipi are a couple of different kinds of trees: one is cottonwood and the other is a pine tree. Also in the far background is open hillside. The writing on the photograph is the words "Julius Williams Major Moorhouse" and the number in the bottom left corner is "4094." |
