| General Notes | A Native American man wearing a feathered headdress poses in front of a small tipi. The tipi is positioned in front of a wall on which is mounted an exhibit of Native American clothing, weapons, and artifacts, identified as belonging to Major Lee Moorhouse. A banner hung from the top of the wall reads, Major Lee Moorhouse Umatilla Indian Exhibit. The exhibit includes regalia, weapons, bows, arrows, pictures or photographs, blankets, bags and other items. |
| TCI Notes | An interior photograph of an unidentified man kneeing inside of a small canvas tipi. He is wearing a single trailor bonnet and has a wool blanket wrapped around him. In the background on tables and on the walls are many different objects that Major Moorhouse has collected. Some of these objects have appeared in Moorhouse photographs with different people wearing some of the objects. On top of all the objects is a sign that has "Major Moorhouse Umatilla Indian Exhibit." The tipi and the man are set up under the sign. |

| Processing History | Scanned images enter Photoshop with negative polarity and have a reversed orientation. Archived Tiffs are saved. Adobe Photoshop used to reorient and crop images, invert image to positive polarity, set and neutralize shadow and highlight point, adjust midtone contrast, and desaturate color information. Second production tiff saved, retaining adjustments layers. Photoshop used to convert color profie from Adobe 1998, to sRGB, set resoltuion to 125 dpi and resize the largest pixel dimension of the image to 875. Display jpeg saved after resizing. |
