| General Notes | A young Native American woman reclines on a couch. The couch is covered with a blanket with large geometric designs. The woman is wearing leggings and a dress with beaded fringes and a striped, beaded yoke. She has on bracelets and a headband with a large feather. Her hair is in braids. The wall behind the couch is covered with Native American artifacts. They include a shield, two bows, a fringed buckskin shirt and some other fringed clothing, a long woven sash, three woven bags with geometric designs, an animal pelt, moccasins, two long necklaces, and some unidentified artifacts . |
| TCI Notes | An interior photograph of an unidentified woman in regalia lying down on a wool blanket. She is wearing a beaded buckskin dress, legging, plain moccasins and a beaded headband with a single Eagle feather on the side of her head. The feather is usually worn in the back of the head. She is lying on two different wool blankets. In the background hanging on the wall are many different objects that belong to Major Moorhouse. Many of these objects have appeared in many other Major Moorhouse photographs. |

| Processing History | Scanned image enters Photoshop with negative polarity and reversed orientation. Archived tiff is saved. Adobe Photoshop used to reorient and crop image, invert image to positive polarity, set and neutralize shadow and highlight point, adjust midtone contrast, and desaturate color information. Second production tiff saved, retaining adjustments layers. Photoshop used to convert color profile from Adobe 1998, to sRGB, set resolution to 125 dpi and resize the largest pixel dimension of the image to 875. Display jpeg saved after resizing. |
