| General Notes | A Native American family of three is posing in front of a tipi for pictures being taken by a white man. The Native American woman is in a separate pose on a blanket with another blanket wrapped around her. A small dog is behind her. The Native American man holding the child seems to be the subject being currently photographed. Behind the tipi there is corral for two horses and shed within the fenced area of the corral. Near the right hand side of the tipi there is a mound covered by a blanket with a pot or basket near by. The Native American male is wearing a cowboy hat and boots with a blanket overcovering. In the far background to the left of the photo are hills and telegraph or telephone poles. |

An unidentified white man is getting his camera ready to photograph the woman. Woman is sitting on top of a blanket and has a wool blanket around her shoulders. The white man is standing next to his camera that is on a tripod. They are in front of their tipi and the door is behind the white man. On the left side of the photograph is an unidentified man holding a child in his left arm. He is wearing a wool blanket around his waist and over his left shoulder he is also wearing a hat. There is a cooking pot next to the tipi, and on the side of the tipi is an unidentified object that is covered with a cloth or a blanket. In the background is a small barn with a horse next to the barn. There are a number of fences around the campsite. At the base of the hill are telephone poles. |

Adobe Photoshop used to reorient and crop image, invert image to positive polarity, set and neutralize shadow and highlight point, adjust midtone contrast, and desaturate color information. Second production tiff saved, retaining adjustments layers. Photoshop used to convert color profile from Adobe 1998, to sRGB, set resolution to 125 dpi and resize the largest pixel dimension of the image to 875. Display jpeg saved after resizing. |
