| General Notes | Ten tipis stand in a row with buildings and deciduous trees behind them. In front of the tipis, on the left side of the photo, is a white house with a porch. |
| TCI Notes | An outside photograph of ten canvas tipis next to five buildings. This has been identified as Cayuse Station which is across the railroad tracks on the north side from the present day Cayuse. There are canvas tipis in a row all facing the same direction. Behind a few of the tipis are some unidentified objects. The buildings are on the far end of the row of tipis. Three of the buildings are behind the tipis and one is in front of the last tipi. In the background are cottonwood trees and the foothills of the Blue Mountains. The photograph was taken from the west looking east up the Umatilla River. Writing on the photograph is "Umatilla reservation July 4 -1909 Cayuse Sta. Maj. Moorhouse." |

Adobe Photoshop used to reorient and crop image, invert image to positive polarity, set and neutralize shadow and highlight point, adjust midtone contrast, and desaturate color information. Second production tiff saved, retaining adjustments layers. Photoshop used to convert color profile from Adobe 1998, to sRGB, set resolution to 125 dpi and resize the largest pixel dimension of the image to 875. Display jpeg saved after resizing. |
