| General Notes | Native American Jim Guyer seated and wearing regalia. He is wearing a feathered headdress with trailor with feather decorations; ankle bells; beaded and feathered armband; decorated European-styled vest and wool leggings; a hairbone bandoleer, and decorated moccasins. He holds a feathered dance stick. Blankets are scattered on the floor. |
| TCI Notes | An interior photograph of a man dressed in his regalia sitting inside a tipi. He is looking at the camera as it was taken. He is wearing a stovepipe bonnet with a single trail down the back. Also a brass tack vest, cloth shirt, arm bands with an ermine hanging off of the arm band, wool legging, with bells around his ankles. In his hands he is holding a dancing stick with some Eagle feathers on the stick. He is sitting on an unidentified object that is covered with a blanket. There is another blanket that is in front of him on the ground. There are about four or five different rugs under him covering the ground. In the background is the tipi with only two poles showing; they are just behind him, the canvas is all across the photograph. Writing on the photograph is "Major Moorhouse" which is on the blanket in front of him. |

| Processing History | Scanned images enter Photoshop with negative polarity and have a reversed orientation. Archived Tiffs are saved. Adobe Photoshop used to reorient and crop images, invert image to positive polarity, set and neutralize shadow and highlight point, adjust midtone contrast, and desaturate color information. Second production tiff saved, retaining adjustments layers. Photoshop used to convert color profie from Adobe 1998, to sRGB, set resoltuion to 125 dpi and resize the largest pixel dimension of the image to 875. Display jpeg saved after resizing. |
