| General Notes | Depicts relics from the Whitman massacre housed at the Oregon Historical Society are displayed in a room through a wooden doorway. A set of antlers adorn the top of the door. Relics include hatchets, rifles, powderhorns, bowls and stones. |
| TCI Notes | An interior photograph of many different kinds of artifacts in a doorway. According to writing on the photograph, these artifacts were used in the Whitman killings in 1847 by some of the Cayuse Tribe. There are Power Horns, Horns, Hatchet Style Pipes, and Rifles. A few of the items have identification tags hanging on the artifacts. Sitting on a table is a box with twelve shelves; inside of each shelf are Stone Bowls and Pestles. On the right side of the box is about a four to five inch space covered with cloth. Hanging on top of the cloth are ten different Fish Weights. In the background are other artifacts, but the photograph is out of focus and it's hard to tell what they are. In front of the doorway on the right side of the photograph is a wooden frame hanging on the wall. |
