Elliott points out that the early white explorer and geographer David Thompson reached Kettle Falls in June of 1811. He notes that "at the age of forty-one years David Thompson thus traversed every reach of this magnificent river from source to mouth". Included in the pamphlet are many quotations from Thompson's journals, a description of the man, and a note on his later life. |
